Stafford and Spears Headline Texas Volleyball Preseason Honors

Torrey Stafford and Cari Spears were named to the 2026 Preseason All-SEC Team and the AVCA Division I Player of the Year Preseason Watch List, per Texas Athletics.

In the SEC coaches’ poll, Texas was picked second — six first-place votes and 216 points, two behind Kentucky (218) and ahead of Texas A&M (191), per the conference announcement via Texas Athletics.

Regular-season open: AVCA First Serve in Milwaukee — Arizona State on Aug. 22, Marquette on Aug. 24.
